    Frida Kempff is a filmmaker, born 1977, in Sala, Sweden, educated at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her short Bathing Micky won the Jury Prize in the Official Selection at Cannes in 2010. In 2015 her feature documentary debut Winter Buoy had it's world premier at Gothenburg International Film Festival, nominated for a Dragon Award. The short film Circles competed at GIFF 2016 and is nominated for best short documentary at Hot Docs 2016. Dear Kid is her second fiction short film.

During a swimming lesson a mother starts to feel uneasy about the coach’s relation to one of the kids, but she has no proof. She faces a dilemma; to make an accusation of the worst kind, or to ignore a child who is possibly getting abused.
