After studying at the Conservatory of Dramatic Art in Geneva from 1981 to 1984 , then at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Art of Paris from 1984 to 1986 , Antoine Basler began his acting career under the direction of Anne-Marie Mieville in Le livre de Marie in 1984 and Jean- Bernard MENOUD in Jour et Nuit in 1985.From the early 90s, he goes from filming to filming at a very steady pace and imposes its elegant young look in several feature films by Olivier Assayas: Paris s'eveille (1991), Une nouvelle vie (1993) and Irma Vep (1996). Antoine Basler also appears in the credits of some art films like Emmene-moi (1994) by Michel Spinosa or Les Rendez-vous de Paris (1995) by Eric Rohmer. Il lui arrive toutefois d'incarner des personnages plus decales comme pour Dobermann (1997) de Jan Kounen, Serial lover (1998) de James Huth, Les Grandes bouches (1999) et Blanche (2002) de Bernie Bonvoisin.Le Chant des Mygales (2015) is Antoine's first film as a director.Filmography:
