Free Fall by Emmanuel Tenenbaum was recently awarded with the First Prize for Best Director at Rhode Island International Film Festival and the Grand Prize at Festival Regard.
Free Fall is about a young trader at a London bank who on the morning of September 11th, 2001, jumps into the biggest trade of his life. The film is based on a book by Dutch author Joris Luyendijk, called ‘Swimming with Sharks’. He spent two years in London, talking to insiders in the banking world, collecting stories and this was one of those stories in which the protagonist completely forgets about his friends inside the tower, because he is so absorbed in the money game.
As a former biomedical engineer at Philips, Emmanuel Tenenbaum’s corporate experience led him to direct realistic and surprising shorts about multinationals.
His films have been screened in 150+ festivals, received many awards and nominations (Vimeo Best of the Year) and been broadcasted on several TV channels (Canal+, OCS, etc.).
Emmanuel has been collaborating for several years with Quebec scriptwriter Guillaume Fournier.
Premium films represent another short by Emmanuel, Two Dollars.
