I'm Not A Robot Earns Spot on Oscars Shortlist

The short film "I'm Not a Robot," directed by Victoria Warmerdam, has been shortlisted for the 97th Academy Awards in the Best Live Action Short Film category.
The film follows Lara, a music producer who, after repeatedly failing CAPTCHA tests, becomes obsessed with a disturbing question: could she be a robot?
"I'm Not a Robot" has garnered critical acclaim for its darkly comedic portrayal of identity and autonomy within the mundane setting of office life.
The film has also received several accolades, including a nomination for Best Live Action Short over 15 minutes at the Palm Springs International ShortFest, and Best Short Film award at Sitges.

The Academy's shortlist includes 15 films in the Live Action Short Film category, selected from a pool of 180 qualified entries.
The final nominations for the 97th Academy Awards will be announced on January 17, 2025.
