The Swedish short film Budo by Alexander Toma and Amanda Aagard received a Jury Special Mention for Animated Short at the Tribeca Film Festival. The jury praised the film for "its quirky and humorous narrative" and its "remarkably intricate manner of portraying its characters and surroundings."
Tribeca marked the film's international premiere, following its initial screening at the Göteborg International Film Festival earlier this year.
